@jackemled@furry.engineer to clarify, it never was available for 4v4 battles
Big Run was 4 player PvE, and tricolor turf war is 2v4v2. Neither Big Run nor Tricolor are available except for officially scheduled in game events, and they aren't reusing it for additional Splatfests.
So I suppose calling it a "PvP stage" is "wrong" in the same way that calling a free for all with more than two players "PvP" is "wrong", which is to say that it's fine to call it a PvP stage.

@ka_so@mastodon.octofriends.garden Yes, not allowing timed events in friend rooms or having some normal gameplay variants of the stage exclusive to friend rooms just to allow playing on the stage seems like an oversight. Or maybe they have plans to do something like that when they stop updating the game.
