Someone asked recently if you could tie tomatoes to sticks for support. The answer is yes, you can. Depending on your plants you're going to need a lot of them though, and long ones at that. And you will be adding a lot of wire bits as they continue to grow. I've been doing this for years. When the plants die off in winter I pull the sticks and store them for next year. The wire bits go into a large plastic bowl, also to be reused. Wire cages are probably less work. #gardening @gardening@fedigroups.social
