@kunsi@chaos.social I also used to do this with the TV tuners connected to my mac, but it was apparently very common in the US to set a show to record, then start watching it 15–20 minutes after it started, skip the ad breaks, and eventually “catch up” to the live broadcast so you got the big reveals/final score and finished watching at about the same time everyone else
