@whvholst@eupolicy.social @briankrebs@infosec.exchange I can’t imagine this being legal in the US either, presuming of course that we still had a government with any interest in enforcing existing laws.
The very notion of them claiming this is done with the user’s consent is beyond the pale. And just goes to demonstrate tech’s relationship with the concept of consent in the first place.

@peter@social.linss.com @whvholst@eupolicy.social @briankrebs@infosec.exchange 200GB a month default BW cap? ho-wow, that's like 50GB more than most people i know have included on their home internet from cable companies. well, several years ago, idk what caps are now. 5 years ago or so it would have taken me at most a couple of hours at full speed to hit the caps; and now because i want to watch streaming i have to consent to letting them burn through my data caps?
