Our politicians keep calling for "European alternatives to US-based AI [sic!]" and are willing to throw our money at data centers just to build "our very own" slop machines. Politicians, listen up! I have an alternative for you: stop fetishizing a flawed and harmful technology! We don't need it. We don't have to have it.
