In early June, we announced that we had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V. (the German Institute for Standardization) to strengthen open source participation in international standards development.
This partnership focuses on the #SovereignTechStandards network, our new program that supports a cohort of open source maintainers in standards work at bodies like the @ietf @w3c and ISO.

For the ISO track in particular, this collaboration brings DIN's deep institutional knowledge directly to the experts we support, helping bridge the gap between open source practice and standards processes. Together, we are working towards having open source implementation experience as an integral part of the processes that shape digital infrastructure.
