Today I've been unable to play music in Google's #Chromecast because Google's #YouTube prompts me to confirm I want to watch the video I asked it to play and Google's #Android does not provide any way to enter my answer. But you shouldn't install third-party apps because they cannot match the experience of a closed ecosystem.

@kAlvaro@mastodon.social Unfortunately, there really isn't a replacement for YouTube content (yet). Peertube maybe has 0.1% of the content YouTube has. You can (and should) use an alternative client to watch YouTube content. I am hoping that with the EU moving towards digital sovereignty, a true YouTube competitor rises that will treat content creators and users fairly.
