To be clear, unlocking the vehicle works well, but it getting the driver profile correct is like a coin flip if there are two valid drivers in the vehicle, so the car frequently has the wrong seating position for the driver when you get in
This is made worse by Rivians not being able to change the profile if over 3 mph, so if you leave in a bit of a rush and don't notice the wrong profile, you have to pull over to reset the profile or fiddle with seat/steering controls manually

@christianselig@mastodon.social the solution is clear: if you want to drive, you have have to take a 50m sprint to the car so it registers you first. The design is very human.
