@jlow @NIGHTEN@hi.nighten.fr I visited the exhibit at the Dutch Sieboldhuis, and they discussed how Hasui revived interest in ukiyo-e with the Shin Hanga style. It also showcased the large amount of hard work and “selling out” that was needed to keep practicing the craft and how it quickly petered out after his death.
