just thinking about how the only thing i can do at times is say to someone “hey maybe u should stop hurting your community &mine, &others around you for your own benefit” it doesn’t exactly ever work as a trans woman i feel particularly powerless tbh. i don’t think it’s a problem unique to us, but i don’t exactly know—since i’ve never experienced being anything other than a trans woman part of it does feel like a skill issue on my behalf, like i just need to be more powerful &staunch while also riding the line of being respectful &speaking what i believe, but i also feel that when i do embody staunchness im easily disempowered or undermined because of my identity. perhaps i need more resilience in the face of that discrimination, im not sure.
