It really just depends on what your personal experience is. The concept of pride doesn't have to speak to you, that's okay
Many of us have been horribly shamed for our disabilities, and treated like we are subhuman. So for us, the concept of pride is a reclaiming of our inherent worth as human beings
For others of us, disability pride means celebrating the wonderful variety of disabled folks and the cool stuff that they do -- just because humans are cool, and celebrating is fun
For others of us, it's about educating ourselves about the disabled history that has been erased. We have always been here, doing the cool shit
I'm sure there are many other aspects I'm not thinking of, that other people can fill in!

@NilaJones @broadwaybabyto I was certainly treated as less than by many because of my disability, and I'm not trying to bash people who have disability pride, I just don't myself because I learned to view my disability as just what it is, something I must live with and nothing more. Sure, there are great things that being blind has afforded, but just as many hardships, but I choose to live my life the best I can, and while disability pride doesn't speak to mme,
