@mikalai@privacysafe.social @djb@mastodon.cr.yp.to @letoams@defcon.social again, nothing is being removed. Nothing. In fact what is being added is explicitly not recommended.

@rsalz@ioc.exchange The flow will be: Some government blessing + Anything from IETF - no one reads RECOMMENDED=N flags. = pq-only on my bank's connection in the future. In the future, where there are no quantum computers, and there was ecc on this connection, and no longer. I ask you too, why are you pushing a thing with RECOMMENDED=N, when stakes are this high. @djb@mastodon.cr.yp.to @letoams@defcon.social

@rsalz@ioc.exchange @letoams@defcon.social This week I had a conversation about needing to emplement pq, cause government something-something. People at large, ok, leaders at large don't know about not-recommended yet RFC, that it is a thing. You overestimate outside having nuances about your process, and underestimate outsider's trust in you. Yes, you can functionaly hide behind RECOMMENDED=N. But, please discourage publishing of stuff IETF doesn't recommend. Stakes are too high here. @pluralistic@mamot.fr @eff@mastodon.social
