@bolt451@writing.exchange You're probably not dealing with the book bans that we are in the U.S. But I haven't seen a lot of books with trans characters in UK kidlit. I've seen many here, but those are the ones being banned most right now. Your best bet would be to go to a big bookstore, like a Waterstones or Blackwells, and just look at what's on their shelves. I've seen some LGBTQ titles lately (like Ian Eagleton's https://www.owletpress.com/ourcreators/ian-eagleton), so I'd say there's some hope!

    @bolt451@writing.exchange Also, check out UK agents' websites and see what they're asking for. Here, people will say very clearly if they're LGBTQIA friendly, and if they are, they typically know editors who are eager for such representation too. Good luck! I hope this works out for you. I know the need among trans kids to see themselves in stories is huge. And also, for non-trans kids to read and better understand and empathize.
