This July Fourth is a good opportunity to remind each other that our primary goal should be to defeat the fascist regime that has taken over the US, and that the only way to do this in an enduring and just manner, is to do so while breaking the power of the billionaires and instituting a full reconstruction of our society. Jail and try all Trump administration officials. Ban all Trump administration officers from holding public office again for life. Seize all their assets (including their land and their investments), and use those resources to compensate their victims and start rebuilding what they have destroyed. Declare everything this regime has done to be legally null and void. Release all political prisoners, including the Prairieland activists. This likely would require replacing the US Constitution of 1787 with a much improved constitution. I don't think amending the existing constitution would be enough in this case. The goal should be to prevent this violent, fascist takeover from ever happening again.
