@azonenberg@ioc.exchange @slothrop@chaos.social @peter_mcmahan@mas.to I was using various flavours of ubuntu and mint when I made the switch to Linux many years ago. I still use mint for friends and (wider) family, but at home we use Debian stable, and have so for years. Even made the switch from XFCE to gnome some time ago, and it works just fine for us. Debian stable has come a long way. Network printing, media codex, WiFi card, usually just works.

@rcr@mastodon.online @slothrop@chaos.social @peter_mcmahan@mas.to I'm not a fan of gnome, I've been running XFCE on debian stable for ~13 years without major issues. Even the media PC in the living room that runs the TV is on trixie
