Most of the really cool programming tricks and chops I've learned over the years have come from people younger than me, often significantly (10 years or more). Some of these were women. As I am getting older, this pool is only going to get bigger, so I figure my strategy only has upside. This is not a post about AI, just an observation about people. And gatekeeping, probably. Be excellent to each other. And try listening from time to time. It's amazing what Other People know, especially Other People who are not like you.
