First, there is no place for debating people who want to take away my freedom ("my freedom" = "anyone's freedom", for obvious reasons). There is only fight.
And second, there is historical record which shows that fascism fails catastrophically, and that generally authoritarian systems fail to create well-functioning modern societies. See, democracy and empathy are both morally and practically superior, how nice is that!

@DrALJONES@mastodon.social Thus the actual debate is the unfortunate, ongoing, often bloody real-life competition of various systems. And I'd dare to say that people who think that violence is the solution will get continuously defeated. Every single time. Perhaps one day it will become obvious to enough people on this planet, and we will be able to live without that nonsense.
