Between edtech aimed at schools and workplace lms platforms, some of the most predatory business practices in software come from companies making "learning" products.. I think this surprises people because they assume there's some intrinsic motivation to work on education stuff, but it's the very same models that power tech company infiltration of large organisations like public sector and enterprise orgs

This post has also made me want to write about the delusion we pushed that startups making their products available for free using VC money were somehow working for the developer community.. The rise and fall of devrel, I am not sure I want to share my almost certainly unpopular opinions on all of that yet lol
