I mean, green ketchup tastes exactly the same as red one, so I’m used to colour being somewhat meaningless. Same with clear cola.

That’s because those foods are made with distilled food colorings that are designed to be as tasteless as possible. The colors in fruits and vegetables often reflect their vitamin content/taste.
