@lich@nightshift.social @Owl@shitpost.cloud i'm not only talking about "bush did 9/11." off the top of my head: q. what city has the fastest readers? a. new york. they can go through fifty stories in a matter of seconds. back then, if you'd said "this is tasteless," you'd be told "grow thicker skin." i was young at the time and never questioned this, but in retrospect, it seems the social norm of "don't make light of tragedies" might have been load-bearing.
