Our nation was founded as a Christian nation, and Texas is a Christian state,” said Hall, a Republican who is a pastor in Springtown. He said the Bible has had a “remarkable impact on our culture, our societies and our laws.” No, you fucking brainstem, this nation was not founded as a xtian nation. And no, “the” bible did not have much impact on our laws. Find one mention of it in the Constitution. And then look at the First Amendment vs. the so-called “first commandment”. They are in direct conflict with one another. In this free country, I’m well within my rights to worship any god I want, or no god at all. Your rules are for YOU and those in your book club. They don’t apply to everyone. No one, least of all minorities in a captive audience, should be obligated to have to listen to your blatantly stupid and wrong bullshit.

Bible is perhaps the most important cultural work. As long as they don’t say it’s truth, I see nothing wrong with it.
