I'm going to highlight the Edmonton Open Mic Festival at Sherbrooke Community League, where over 100 artists will play short sets on 7 stages, each booked by a local weekly open mic stage. Plus an extra open mic stage, for those of us who missed signing up for the schedule (I was doing open jams instead!🙃) #YEGTheatre options: Until July 12: Freewill Shakespeare presents Something Rotten (a Shakespeare-themed musical) at Hawrelak ParkUntil July 26: Hurry Hard, a small-town Canadian curling comedy, at Mayfair dinner theatre Until Aug 2: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Citadel (that's a comedy musical, not an actual spelling bee) (my guest was confused when I invited them to a production a few years back)Starting July 9: Cocktails at Pam's at The Varscona (a classic Lemoine from Teatro Live) More: https://edmonton.taproot.events/https://www.doublelunch.com/music-listing
