!!!! ATTENTION: URGENT MUTUAL AID REQUEST !!!! Hello friends! We really don't like doing this, but we haven't gotten paid and despite the company's insistence originally that that pay would come Monday, now it's kind of seeming like... they just don't have the money and might not be paying anyone but they aren't doing layoffs, they're just expecting everyone to keep working. We have three kids to feed! We have animals we need to keep fed and watered! We're a critical source of food for a very food-insecure community of folks and now those folks will be going without, too if we can't keep things going. We've been in some scary financial situations in the last few years but this is the worst because we had absolutely no time whatsoever to plan for it and I've already delayed bills due on the 1st by several days thinking they'd be able to be paid on Monday. Our initial goal is $2000 which really just pays the house and electric bill which are both due immediately. Anything extra is going to groceries and gas, so please donate anything you can. We live 16 miles from the nearest town and temps are regularly in the 110s right now -- walking to town for provisions is not feasible so this is all very important.
