Some (higher end, yes there’s a scale) FBOs (businesses that offer parking & basic service for airplanes) have oral-care products in their restrooms. Really nice for being able to clean up after a long day flying.
Long story short, I mistook mouthwash for soap because it was just in an unlabeled hand pump bottle. I’ve rewashed my hands 3 times since making that mistake, and they still smell of mouthwash.
My mental process was essentially: “huh, that was some very thin soap. Wait, there are little cups near that soap bottle. Oh, that’s not soap.” 🤦🏽♀️

From one of our stops earlier today. I used the sink in the first photo (with the green bottle) to wash my hands. The built-in soap dispenser wasn’t working. But, remembering 3 weeks ago, I didn’t go for the bottle on the left side of the faucet. Interestingly, the next sink over (which did have a working soap dispenser) had a bottle labeled mouthwash. So… I probably would’ve been fine with the bottle next to the first sink, but just to be safe, I used the soap dispenser for the other faucet, which was working. I still don’t know whether the bottle of green liquid was soap or not.
