@josephsimons@mstdn.ca 1/8 of signatures incomplete or unable to be verified is a bit disappointing, but it's not that much worse than the Forever Canadian petition (which was submitted with a reported 456,000 signatures but the official report reduced it to 438,568 valid entries of which for 404,293 were deemed verifiable after the sample verification process). Pretty frustrating that it dropped it below the cut-off for action in this case, though. Future citizen initiative processes will need to keep that ratio in mind. Need to overshoot the signature threshold by 12-15% to be confident that it will survive the verification process.
