@zvavybir@social.zvavybir.eu for me the problem was that nobody contacted me for the Anmeldung I sent in, but then I called a management level above and soon after that I got an appointment for immediately the next morning. Apparently they forgot about my Anmeldung, but they still had it laying around so it still worked out. I was asked about my desired middle name, Dragofelis, but I just said it's a personal thing and that was fine. It might have been more trouble in the first name position though. I think the question might just have been honest curiosity from the Standesamt employee. also make sure they give you a name change certificate with both old and new name on it, it makes it a lot easier to convince companies to update your name in their system. Some people apparently got a document with the new name only.
