Valve are the only gaming company in the industry that aren't shafting their consumers. It's part of the reason why they've been so untouchable while other companies have had to lay off employees by the thousands, close studios, whinge and cry about anti-trust from failing to see their own hubris. @SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo @SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo

Take Trump and Obama, in this case Trump is Valve competitors and Valve is Obama, fundementally they both do the same things in the background, with maybe Valve (Obama) having a big W like SteamOS (ACA) but in the background it's mostly the same, with the president analogy this would be things like corporate lobbying, wars and bombing. With these companies it's things like limiting ownership, having poor policies, vendor lock-in and other things. Yet people don't hate Obama or Valve, but they sure as hell hate Trump and Valve competitors, it's all because Obama and Valve were able to wrap up their shit in presentable ways. That's all it is.
