It's obscure and seems unfair...but it makes perfect sense that the rule exists, and the officials got it right.

@dcdeejay@mastodon.online It's pretty fair, IMO. Nobody wants to see teams park their 9 inside the box all game and have attackers try to blast passes through the defense hoping for a deflection that leads to a tap-in.
