The biggest failure of Canadian democracy at the moment is that we no longer see elections as a time to elect Members of Parliament to represent us in Parliament on a daily basis but as a time to choose a dictator to rule over us for the next 4-5 years.

@the5thColumnist@ottawa.place The rapid decline started when the conservatives started whipping the vote in parliament and compiling power in the PMO to have a strong leadership position like in the failed USA. Democracy impedes corporatism, so they undermined our democracy. Also the cult of personality during elections is a problem because Canadians don't directly elect the PM.
