It doesn't have an intro from the "translator's" (true author's) point of view. And unlike the English edition, there isn't a passage from the Japanese translator's POV since again, in-universe, this hasn't been translated to Japanese lol
I haven't gotten to the end yet but I wonder if it will have the equivalent of the translator's epilogue from the English/original :neofox_think:

Daikon (who is currently reading the Japanese version with me) explained it to me like, what if the NeverEnding Story didn't have any of the scenes with Bastian reading the book in the school attic, and it was PURELY a story about Atreyu in Fantasia. And it's not like, a LESSER book for it, but knowing how the original is structured, it makes you look for all the ways that it had to be adapted to drop this meta framing. idk it's neat lol, sorry to gush
