Been reading about #BSD systems lately, as I'm trying to set up a tiny #HomeServer. Fascinating systems, I really like the whole "the base system should serve most needs" concept and the docs are delightful. I feel a lot of that lost sense of discovery I last felt while first learning Linux. I just wish they weren't surrounded by so much superiority-jerking. It really feels like a vocal minority of BSD proponents define themselves less by what they stand for and more by what they stand against
