@robpike@cosocial.ca every time I think about this for me than two minutes, I remember that a better solution would have been to add a "usage type" to the cookie spec with values like "session state", "preference", "login", "advert tracking", and the website would set the type on the cookies they were sending, and then people could configure their browser to say which cookie types they accepted, and we need never have had a single fucking consent pop up.
