it's so ridiculous to me that air conditioning isn't a state sanitary code requirement like heat is. i think if we're going to regulate that landlords should maintain units in habitable conditions, it should not be possible to get seriously ill or die strictly from environmental causes in a compliant unit. idk. hot take, i know
