After seeing a post by @rolle@mementomori.social about @pixelunion@mastodon.social, I realised that this is the solution I was looking for for my active photo archive. Currently I'm running Immich on a self hosted server via Yunohost, but the app and all uploaded files are becoming too large for me to maintain. My 350+ GB of Google photos have just finished migrating (Yay!) and now I will set up a connection between my Immich and my Pixelunion domains to continue the migration of all photos I self host. Quite a lot of photos, and more coming as I backup each one I take or adjust, so I have signed up for a yearly plan with 2TB of server space, but it's worth it to me to keep my photos available, but not hosted at a Big Tech company. #SelfHosted #NotSoSelfHosted #PhotoArchive #DeBigTEchMyLife
