"If you spot an account you think might be AI-generated, click ⋯ on one of the account's posts and select "report". Remember to give your reason for reporting, so that the admin knows what to look for."
This seems like a bad idea. People on social media are bad at spotting AI. Too many false positives.
I know this because I have twice been accused of being AI for my social media posts, so I anticipate being reported to the administrators of my instance in short order.
In both cases where I was accused of being an AI, it was because I made a careless error. In one case, I spelled "teenager" as "teen-ager," which is the original spelling going back to the 1940s, and which I guess I picked up because I read a lot of science fiction from that period when I myself was a teenager (or "teen-ager") in the 1970s.
In the second case, I said I thought that 1996 was the least consequential Presidential election of my lifetime. I said if Gore had won, history would not have been different. Of course I meant to say Dole, but commenters seized on my careless error as proof that I am AI.
