My job situation may be more dire than I thought. Today work had a first evaluation meeting since ai use was officially sanctioned, so everyone spoke about their experiences. I was the sole person that did not use it at all, and now next Tuesday I have a meeting with the manager about "AI use"
So if there's a software place that isn't infected by this AI BS and wants to hire a very good and experienced dev with a wide history of professional and hobby work, that can do many things well, please let me know. I may need a new job very soon and would be quite glad.

@reyna@furry.engineer Unfortunately the company I work at is going down the same route with AI... Though I have told my manager how I think about it and that it's not for me and she supports me in that... Mandatory AI has been shouted a couple of times now and last time it was 'for everyone' but for now still excluding my team? It is not a very fun situation. I don't even know if I want to be working in IT anymore as a career if it really goes down.
