I find it incredible that the Proton Mail android app - from @protonprivacy@mastodon.social who want you to detach yourself from big tech - still uses Google Services. Admittedly just for notification pushes, but still. How difficult can it be to drop that dependency and check the server for new email at a frequency of the user's choosing? #Proton #ProtonMail #DeGoogle #Email #Google
