@ukscone@cupoftea.social Right now they use nothing. My boat will soon have an AIS transponder. Some of the race boats here also have AIS, as it is becoming a more common requirement for offshore races. I remember seeing your rfid tracking doohickey earlier and being intrigued. At our marina it could actually work pretty well: there is a narrow channel in and out. There is a neat sailing school/sailing club here (all club-owned boats) where the idea would probably work best. Probably for their cruise boats: https://sailingforall.org/cruise-boats/ .
