@matiu_bidule@mamot.fr @therainingmonkey@toot.wales since relays and instant onboarding, usage numbers have gone up a lot, and community activities multiplied. But no question, the use case of cleartext email, and getting a nice chat interface for (mostly) cleartext email, and using email addresses as identity to address someone, has been demoted in the last two years. We understanding the sadness. But that happened because "just use your email" was for many years *not* a mass-user compatible selling point.
