OKAY
Look. We need to get a few things clear. Stop attributing all sorts of magical properties to impeachment.
A) It's not criminal OR civil, and it's not mutually exclusive of charges.
B) It can ONLY occur -while- the person is in office. NOT AFTER!
C) It is not a form of accountability: "Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States"
