@kaveinthran@disabled.social I have been a jaws user since 2003 at the age of 11. My friend actually taught me how to use that screen reader, it was the first one I ever learned. I was low vision as a kid, so also relied on other tools. But I digress… In 2014 my partner @Lprazdnik@mindly.social, a few friends, and I were talking about @NVAccess@fosstodon.org. Partner and I decided to have a friendly wager, he had been a Jaws user for quite a while as well. The wager was, use NVDA as a primary screen reader for an entire month, which one of us wouldn’t make the month? 🤔 Spoiler alert: we both did 🙌🏻 We have used NVDA as our primary screen reader on PC ever since. Years later, job: my job does supply jaws to all employees upon higher, but during my on boarding process I asked if NVDA could be installed alongside jaws adding that I know jaws, I will use it if necessary, but prefer NVDA for a whole host of reasons. Free, faster, navigation is more intuitive, I could go on and on and on 😂💻 #NVDA20
