was in British Columbia the last few days. i've been going there since i was a kid and it never fails that as soon as i cross the border into BC i instantly feel lighter, everything is brighter, more relaxed, and as soon as i cross back into Alberta i feel gloomier, everything looks duller, and the ridiculous signs people actually pay to put along the highway make my blood pressure spike. why do i live here.
