@zarfeblong@mastodon.gamedev.place The original folio release documentation *does* mention CAREFULLY if not any other adverbs, including in the version you linked to and various alternate printings: check out page 2 under "The Time Element". (I know this unrelatedly as I was recently studying the Deadline documentation for... reasons.) Possibly they removed it from later editions because, as you point out, it wasn't strictly necessary for playing the game?
