@aurynn@cloudisland.nz Same. I’m getting priced out of games either way with the PS6 expected to be $1000+ but I don’t see the value in it this way. A shame since I’ve owned everyone since the PSX

@wonkothesane@mstdn.social Same. I've had every PS console since the first, and I currently have a decent collection of PS4 and PS5 games on disc, all ones that are important to me. The PS4 Pro was an of-course buy, but the PS5 Pro is NZ$1600, so, well out of reach. A US$1000 PS6? If I can get that for less than NZ$2000 I'll be extremely surprised. New PC games are an extremely rare purchase for me, since, how can I justify NZ$150 for a new AAA release? Or up to NZ$100 for AA? Games I used to go "Oh yeah of course I'll grab that" are now "I guess I can wait for a sale". Getting new PC parts? lmao. Fuck genAI. There's currently two day-zero PS5 games I'll be getting this year: Control Resonance and Wolverine. Silent Hill Townfall is a strong contender as well, but likely waiting for a sale. God of War: Laufey is also day zero, as is FF7: Revelations. But, only if they're on disc. Otherwise, waiting for steep discounts.
