A profitable return to the lavender bush this evening – the black & white cloak & dagger bee was there again. I'm pretty sure now that this is indeed the rare & (according to the official German Rote Liste) highly endangered Thyreus orbatus (🇩🇪 Schwarzgesichtige Fleckenbiene).
