Happy Canada Day, everyone!
Canada is a Nation of Nations.
The former mayor of Dawson City, Yukon, Wayne Potoroka, once said that “Canadians are born all over the world, it just sometimes takes them a bit of time to get here.”
I think about this quote as I think about my friends and all the other new and aspiring Canadians who embrace this country. It's awesome.

..2/2 I also think about the people whose ancestors were here long before there was a Canada, and whose relationship to "Canadian-ness," if that's a thing, is complicated. That's less awesome. As I reflect on my country and my values, I realize that I love this place. Not for what it has given me. Not for what it has achieved, but for what it CAN achieve. Let's use this moment to choose to make Canada the best version of itself that it can be. For all of us. #CanadaDay
