Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the people who used to make cool things on the web are not only getting harder to find, they're also just... making less stuff. Like there's a slow disengagement happening. Why pour your heart into a personal site or indie project when it drowns in AI noise the second it's out? Does anyone else feel like the good parts of the web are quietly fading?

@iamrobin@mastodon.social I caught myself this week while writing a tech blog post, thinking it doesn’t matter whether I write it or not. An LLM might just churn out the same tutorial for someone anyway. Might still finish it, just as an exercise for myself.
