@belzebu@mastodon.uno Not sure... it's a shared responsibility. i.e. A Palantir employee is told to automate ICE deployments based on AI tools. He's clearly not an expert and should not be doing that, but he was told to do that for money so he accepts. I believe we have personal responsibility, if we are told to do things for money (work) that are NOT OK for us we can't just blame the money we should refuse. Clearly there's intent in the company leaders but also the worker is choosing that line of work and accepting to collaborate because it's convenient for him.

    @esteban@rebel.ar I agree, but I also understand how difficult it is for workers to resist, put to the test by an increasingly ferocious capitalist market. But you're right, it's not enough to absolve yourself by saying, "I was following orders..."
