Southeastern passengers are being urged to plan ahead as #London Charing Cross and Waterloo East close to Southeastern services for 22 days from 26 July to 16 August while Network Rail carries out a £20 million upgrade. The work includes replacing nearly two kilometres of 36-year-old track, rebuilding platforms, improving drainage and repairing bridges to improve safety and reliability. Services will be diverted to London Victoria, Cannon Street, Blackfriars and London Bridge, with revised timetables, reduced frequencies on some routes, and changes to first and last trains. Additional weekend closures are planned on 18–19 July, 22–23 August and 10–11 October. Highspeed, Medway Valley and Sheerness branch services will run as normal. Passengers should check journey details, including last trains, before travelling. https://newsroom.southeasternrailway.co.uk/news/major-london-stations-close-as-railway-carries-out-gbp-20m-upgrade-this-summer
