These poor people legitimately think that an LLM service is their friend. And they're relying on that service to do absolutely everything in their job. And since that fake friend is controlled by a big tech company, they can just gradually raise the price for access. Dependent users will have no choice but to pay the fee. They're hooked now. My parents warned me that drug pushers would use these strategies to get me addicted. That obviously never happened. But it's depressing to see big tech companies using those same abusive tactics now.
